Step 1. Diagnostic steps

Your first visit is the first step toward replacing missing teeth. Before any implant is ordered, we make sure the treatment is right for you, and the whole case is planned at this stage.

Your evaluation

The evaluation includes a basic implant assessment, an oral exam and a panoramic X-ray. Ask about any fee when you call.

Please note: an evaluation does not guarantee that you can be treated here. Treatment depends on the needs of the course participants and the institute’s teaching schedule, so you may be placed on a waiting list. This is more likely for advanced cases. Most patients can be treated at some point during the year.

Treatment-plan visit

After the evaluation you will schedule a treatment-plan visit. Your treatment options, informed consent, scheduling and costs are all discussed at this visit, so you understand the plan, the time it takes and the cost before you decide about time or money.

Planning records

• Uncomplicated cases: an impression of the area is taken to make a model. It lets the treating dentist study the case beforehand and make a surgical guide before the day of surgery. Photographs may also be taken. There is no extra charge for the impression or photographs.
• Complicated cases: an impression and photographs, plus a cone beam CT scan (a 3D X-ray) of the area. The CT scan is charged at a reduced rate. If a computer-generated surgical guide is made from the scan, it is charged separately; both are listed under services and fees.

Once the records have been reviewed, the next step is implant placement.
